Meet the Photographer
Nichelle Bishop grew up with small beginnings in Long Beach, California, where she spent her childhood. An early traveler, she found herself attending grade school in Burbank, California and Lake Placid, New York, and finally in secondary school studying at St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York.

While searching for her passion to a career driven, Nichelle found herself enlisted in the United States Navy in October 2008. After completing her “In-Rate” training at Fort Meade, Maryland at the Armed Forces Defense Information School (DINFOS), she was stationed on her very first warship, the Nuclear Powered Aircraft Carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68).

She spent six years in the United States Navy traveling the world as a Mass Communications Specialist. During her enlistment, she traveled worldwide, photographing cultures across the globe.
​
Her cultural exposure ranges from, Finland, Japan, Thailand, Hawaii, Malaysia, Dubai, China, Bahrain, Singapore, and Guam. She departed the Navy with multiple awards and letters of appreciation from some of the Navy’s top officials, and earned a permanent photograph display in the United States Pentagon as the result of placing 2nd in a Navy-wide photography contest.

As a civilian, Nichelle now takes pride in making images that express her subjects individual personalities, culture, lifestyles and beauty, be it children, adults, families or pets.

Nichelle believes life is not only precious and ever changing, but important enough to capture during its evolution and journey. Her photographic vision and highly trained eye enables her to make the small minute moments stand out just as equally as the grand ones.
Nichelle is now happily serving the San Diego County Area.
